Scarlet Lady
The Scarlet Lady Taino Bay itinerary brings Virgin Cruises passengers to the heart of the Caribbean, visiting the Puerto Plata port several weekends each month. The cruise ship is a luxury cruise ship concept aimed at an adults-only clientele, inspired by mega yachts, a boutique cruise for adults only designed for all those who have prejudices with this type of travel. From the beginning, Virgin CEO Richard Branson had pitched it as the cruise for those who don’t like cruising.
The Scarlet Lady has 1,330 cabins, as well as 78 Rock Star suites that have a more exclusive touch with a more transgressive air: it even has guitars hanging on the wall. 86% of its rooms have a balcony and almost all (93%) have views of the sea.

The cabins are designed with ‘smart architecture’ guidelines, which involves mobile-controlled lights and temperature, and which are calibrated with the ship’s navigation system. This is a frequent ship at the Puerto Plata Taino Bay port, seen almost every weekend.
Gastronomy at the Scarlet Lady
On board you will find 20 bars and restaurants, such as the “only Korean barbecue of the seas” to others that offer dishes at any time of the day. At the Scarlet Lady there is no free buffet, no turns to eat, and no dress code for the lounges.

To reinforce your sustainability message at the Scarlet Lady, there is no all-you-can-eat buffet (a good way to avoid wasting food), nor will it be necessary to set lunch or dinner times. Dress code? In Virgin Voyages’ concept of ‘rebel luxury’ that doesn’t exist.
The most elegant of all the restaurants is the Wake, located at the stern and with 546 square meters, which presents everything from meat to fish and seafood.

Razzle Dazzle specializes in vegetarian food and healthy juices. In the place a resident drag-queen will offer complex cocktails while she performs her performances.
The Test Kitchen, decorated with a periodic table of elements, invites you to experiment through cooking classes, cocktails or coffee. Here nobody chooses dishes but ingredients, and they will prepare them guided by the master chefs on duty.
