La Carihuela is a beach front restaurant located in Cosita Rica Beach, and one of the nicest beach bars of Puerto Plata rated by location, services and overall design. It has a full bar with a complete cocktail menu, cold beer, top shelf liquor and local rums.

Sit back and relax
The restaurant has a relaxed, laid back atmosphere with its tropical theme decor, wicker lamps, hanging plants and pastel colors that take advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings of Cosita Rica Beach. The beach side has beach resort type beds, loungers, and even professional masseuses that can be booked to get pampered by the beach.
The menu has the best seafood dishes to savor by the beach, including paella, octopus, tropical fish, and casserole. The international side of the menu offers Italian pastas, Mexican fajitas, tacos, and other delicacies. Steak and ribs are great choices to have, and much more when you look at the menu.
This restaurant is included in the beach tour of the Puerto Plata cruise ports such as Amber Cove and Taino Bay, because of its many amenities, location and high quality services. It can get crowded on the weekends, so it would be a good idea to make an appointment if you are traveling on Saturday or Sunday.
How To Get There:
To reach the restaurant just take the malecon oceandrive from either end and reach the very center, past long beach or from La Puntilla area. Parking is available on the other side of the road, plenty of it on most days.
